This colorful keyboard says "kids welcome." And thanks to the USB plugs, now standard on any Mac or Windows computer, swapping this kid-friendly version with your standard putty gray edition (or using both at the same time) is as easy as plugging it in. There's also a round PS/2 adapter for older computers. Other features include color coded keys -- the numerals and vowels are red; the other keys are orange, and there are no cryptic function keys. The numerical keyboard is also missing. When compared to a standard professional keyboard, this one seems cheap, with light springy keys, so it's probably not the keyboard you want to write that novel. For regular use, and children first using a computer, the keyboard is some nice frosting.
