Plug this cartridge into your Leapster, and you have an interactive Spider-Man cartoon (The Case of the Sinister Speller), with the ability to touch any word to hear it read aloud. There are two modes -- a child can choose to hear the story, or can play along by finding one of five hidden games in the pictures. The activities are excellent language enrichment activities, and tie nicely in with the story. One of the best is Darkroom Doodles, a word scramble, where a child can drag letters into place, using the touch screen. Another game asks kids to proof read sentences as they are spoken. The game saves progress for up to four different children. All in all, this is an excellent language enrichment activity. Note that the content is based on the comic books (not the more recent movies).
