Like a preschool coach for novice parents, this is a carefully structured, computerized early childhood curriculum designed for a parent and child to do together for no more than 30 minutes per week over a 2 to 3 year period. In fact, the clever management system times the total number of hours the software has been use, and an interactive teaching guide shows you each activity, along with how you should interact with your child. The content, which is divided into four levels ($200 each) comes on one CD, consists of 700+ lessons that range from early reading to Spanish. We were pleased to find that the materials stress that children spend a minimal amount of time on the computer; avoiding pressure or drill. Instead, these lesson are designed to prove a catalyst for a parent and child to spend time together. As you might expect, the activities vary in quality, but in general are engaging, with well thought out graphics, and easy to understand speech. Made with Macromedia Director.
