Finally -- a toy that puts YOUR voice inside of it, instead of a stranger's. This talking frog has a membrane keyboard on its belly and a wired remote microphone in a little Velcro pocket on his back. After you put in the 4 AAs, it's easy to program the toy -- you take out the microphone and answer a 15 item questionnaire designed to capture your voice giving some background information about your child. Questions include "Is your child a girl?, "Say your child's name", and "Record a special message for your child." The recording removes any dead sound automatically, and then inserts your information into story scripts, word searches and so on. It is also easy to erase this information (just remove the microphone) to enter information on another child. We were particularly impressed by the way the toy customized the activities , based on your response to questions such as "does your child know most of his letter sounds." There are four additional cartridge/book packs ($13 each) covering topics that are right on target for the early preschool age range-- potty training, going to sleep, expressing feelings and new baby. This is an innovative, easy to use, educational toy.
