Another well designed Leapster cartridge; this one contains five math and reading games for first grade; along with one poorly designed racing game that acts as a reinforcer. Leap, Lilly and little brother Tad visit the boardwalk fair, where they can play the games (just touch one of six icons) that include Wild Word Waves (fill in the blanks of a sentence, to hear it read aloud); Sea Shapes (a timed geometry game where you touch as many fish with a specific attribute as possible); Bubble Double (make compound words by touching two word bubbles); Bumper Bonanza (a very clever math facts game, where you trace the path to the correct answer), and Letterpillar (capture floating letters in order to build words). Each game has three levels, and records (number of tokens and levels) can be remembered for up to three players. All in all, this is an excellent set of activities, right on par for first grade.
