Did you ever have a really corny teacher? You know, the kind that would break out in a cheesy John Wayne imitation right in the middle of a math lecture; or perhaps a proper British school marm. Meet Professor Finkle -- the singing, joking teacher who introduces children to division via instructional videos, puzzles and games, drills, and printable worksheets. Content includes 13 short videos delivered in Quicktime, and six activities (division as the inverse of multiplication, division terminology, dividing equally, remainders, fractions, intro to long division). Also included are drills and worksheets for 144 division facts. Records are kept (children sign in) and results can be printed. This program isn't flashy, but Professor Finkle keeps the mood light for an otherwise dreary math subject. It would work well in a fourth grade classroom for some math related entertainment and practice.
