This CD covers basic math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, biology, Earth science, oceanography and astronomy. There is also a module on writing science fiction and fantasy, and a math and science dictionary. Lessons are delivered via text and illustrations, with some photos. There are a few animations, plus directions for activities and labs. Lab forms can be filled out online, and there are interesting interviews with professionals in each field. Unfortunately, the program is weak in multimedia features: there are no videos and no speech, which makes the experience textbook-like. Additional features include links to an Internet site with more content.
