This is an instruction book and CD combo designed for girls who want to learn to play guitar. The 49 page book presents lots of photos and diagrams, information on tuning, an introduction to tablature, and dozens of "beginner" songs to play. The accompanying CD offers a tuner, an interactive chord dictionary, and an interactive music player that lets kids see the song music as it is played. They can play along with the CD, adjust the tempo, and record their playing. You're getting a lot of content for $15, but note that this is not as complete or as full-featured as many of the other guitar tutorials. Its emphasis on girls is very nice, however, and the presentation of the material is done in a friendly, non-intimidating manner.
