This is an instruction book and CD combo designed for kids who want to learn to play guitar. The 48 page book presents lots of photos and diagrams, information on holding and strumming the guitar, an introduction to chords, and dozens of "beginner" songs to play. The accompanying CD offers an interactive music player that lets kids see the song music as it is played. They can play along with the CD, adjust the tempo, and record their playing. You're getting a lot of content for $15, but note that this is not as complete or as full-featured as many of the other guitar tutorials. The presentation of the material is done in a friendly, non-intimidating manner, however, and interested kids might just get hooked.
