This is a portable digital magnification system designed to help individuals who have impaired vision brought on by macular degeneration, glaucoma, or other causes. The device can either be rolled across a page of print, or put on a stand over a book, map or any other item. Magnification can be adjusted so a postage stamp is either twice as big, or up to 4 inches tall. Images can be viewed in color, in one color or in reverse resolution, and a portable rechargeable battery pack lets you carry the unit with you. It is also useful for science projects, and for looking at coins, maps or other objects in great detail. Note that the company also makes a product called Pico ($795) that is much smaller (pocket sized), e.g., for restaurants menus, grocery lists, and so on.
