Game Boy Player

Getting tired of staring at the small Game Boy screen? The new Game Boy Player turns a standard Game Cube into a software converter, allowing you to play GBA games using the Cube's controller and your TV screen. The peripheral consists of a plastic box that fits underneath your GameCube. It plugs into the High Speed Port Connector and adds about an inch to the height of the unit. After the Player is snapped into place, you must first start the Cube with a special startup disk that is required in order to switch modes. When the Cube is used in a regular mode, the disk must be removed -- the largest drawback to the GBP (if the special disk gets lost or damaged, you can forget about using the Game Boy Player.) When in place, the Player lets you play all Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games, and it also converts a standard GBA into a controller as long as you have a cable. Note that the player is not compatible with all GBA cartridges, for example, the Game Boy Advance Video cartridges by Majesco.
