Pokémon Colosseum
© 2004 Nintendo of America
Pokémon jumps onto the big (TV) screen, in this interactive adventure, spiced with frequent command-based battle sessions with your Pokémon (little pet-like critters, each with different fighting attributes). Children can choose to explore the 30-hour RPG mode, or they can jump right into the fights, which take place in the coliseum. It is possible to plug in as many as three other Game Boy Advance units into the Game Cube, enabling multiple players to trade or swap their Pokémon. There's plenty of opportunities for reading and logical problem solving, and the storyline is quite complex. Note that you'll want to have a memory cartridge in order to save games. Works with either the Pokemon Ruby or Pokemon Sapphire cartridges, which are not required in order to play.
