OLogy

OLogy, The American Museum of Natural History's web site, is for kids to use in school and at home. Kids can play games, meet "ologists", ask questions, and read feature stories. Content focuses on the "ologies"-- currently marine biology, paleontology, physics, genetics, astronomy and biodiversity. Each section has directions for hands-on activities and computer activities, all of which promote scientific pursuits like exploration, collecting, sorting and publishing. Content includes an "interview" with a protoceratops, a board game that explores the nature vs. nurture debate, and a timeline-of-the-universe creator. The site is a great resource, easy to use and offering tons of things to do and see. Visit www.ology.amnh.org for more information.
