This is an Internet-based suite of teaching, reporting and communications tools for K-12 schools that is designed to work with common browsers. Components include a classroom website where a teacher can post specific assignments, an online grade book (so a student or parent could see a grade at any point), parent/teacher surveys, a calendar, message boards and an online quiz and test maker. Attendance can also be recorded and included as a weighted factor in determining grades. Note that all of these utilities will work with any curriculum, on both Macs and PCs. Each student and parent are given a user name and password, so they can access announcements, homework and grades from home or school. The interface is clean and attractive, and the tools are easy for teachers to use. Site licenses begin at $2000.
