Macromedia Studio MX

When it was first released in 1997, Macromedia Dreamweaver had great promise. But clunky editing and overly stylized menus sent many people back to Microsoft Homepage or even as far back as Claris HomePage. The MX edition, however, has us impressed so far, with its ability to pull a lot of useful tools under one set of menus. These include web animation standards like Flash and Fireworks that can be incredibly useful to an older student in search of the ultimate creativity challenge. One of the program's greatest strengths is its ability to manage a remote site that might be edited by a variety of people. If you've been disappointed by earlier versions of Dreamweaver, this program will change your thinking.
