Plant Tissues in Focus

This CD is designed to assist students studying types of biology that involve microscopy. Each set of slides is based on a particular plant system—roots, stems, leaves and reproduction. Students load the slide sets, view them pre-focused at different magnifications, add labels and estimate sizes. They can also view two slide images side by side for comparison. This is not meant to replace use of an actual microscope, but merely to augment it, and to allow more students to be able to see more slides in a timely manner. Worksheets and teacher manual are also included. Note that there is no speech, just text and visuals. Still, this is a very useful program, easy to use and content-rich.
