LeapStart Learning Table
© 2002 LeapFrog
LeapFrog's answer to the Intelli-Table, this standup busy box (table) is nicely designed for toddler interests. There's a four-key keyboard to experiment with, spinners that sing the ABCs, shapes to push in, knobs to push and a hard plastic page to turn. Cleverly, the sounds the toy makes are determined by the page the baby chooses. Each action on the toy comes with associated sounds, language or music. Open the purple door for example, and hear "open". Close it and the toddler hears "close". When children spin the spinner, they'll hear the ABC song. Some of the responses seem a little beyond most toddlers (a focus on shapes, colors, numbers and letters). The off-switch is underneath and not easily accessible, but this is a minor issue. All things considered, young children will enjoy the quick response to their actions, and their parents will appreciate the fairly reasonable price.
