This software allows teachers to perform ongoing, classroom-based, instructional reading assessments for all their students. Teachers use their handhelds to record observations of students' reading, noting progress, tracking errors and identifying difficulties. The system instantly tabulates errors, calculates fluency and generates progress reports. Screening, diagnostic and instructional assessments are available. "Assessment modules" include phonics, phonemic awareness, comprehension, fluency, oral reading record, high frequency word lists and developmental checklists. Data is uploadable to the web for viewing on desktop PCs. We've seen a demo of this product and it looks fairly easy to use and seems to be a very useful Palm application for teachers.
