The Hula Hamsters

This entertaining collection of activities is hosted by Frankie and Bean, hamsters that roam around their owner's bedroom while he's at school. Graphics and games are appealing, and humor is used effectively, especially in the super-hero "hamster" comic book, Hula Hamster Heroes vs. The Lab Rat. Games are initially fun but unlikely to hold kids over time. There's a microscope challenge where kids must figure out what everyday object is under the microscope. Other activities include a velcro ball toss addition game, a silly story about gravity, two memory games and a limited learn-about-the-planets activity. Stories are read aloud and the games are easy to play. In sum, this is a very likable, but limited set of activities.
