This affordable, engaging program has only one game, but serves as both a spelling and English/Spanish program. Children first decide whether to play in English or Spanish. Then they pick a knight and a game length. Next, they are presented with a stone bridge, onto which letters must be dragged to spell a requested word. Words are given in both English and Spanish. If the words are spelled correctly before time runs out, the knight may cross the bridge and earn gold coins and other treasures. Detailed records can be printed out, so parents and teachers can see exactly which words are learned. Fifteen levels of spelling difficulty are offered. It's sometimes hard to distinguish words. "Tube", for example was mixed up with "too". Homonyms are also problematic, unless the student already knows the English/Spanish translation. Those criticisms aside, this straightforward program will effectively teach children how to spell thousands of words.
