Mystery Museum, The
© 2000 Night Kitchen Media
This is no ordinary art museum. Each night, one of the people in a painting comes to life and goes about messing up the other paintings! Players must explore the galleries, play games to receive clues, and ultimately identify the culprit. In one gallery, you may find a Renoir all scrambled into jigsaw pieces, and you must put the painting back together to receive a clue. The clue might tell you that the painting was a man or woman, or that he/she was painted by a certain artist. Children put these clues together to form the identity of the mischief maker, and as they play, they learn about dozens of famous paintings and the artists that painted them. Each time the game is played, the culprit and clues change, making this a new experience every time. It’s very educational and compelling, appropriate for both home and school use. Dozens of paintings and artists are showcased, from Renoir to Picasso.
