Doodle! Interactive: Episode 1 Drawing Faces

This crudely programmed art tutorial combines a short series of QuickTime movies with a small onscreen drawing area. The idea is to draw along with your mouse, following an experienced artist, who explains how to draw faces in step-by-step fashion. Initially enthusiastic about a new drawing program, our test kids were soon frustrated and disappointed. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to erase your doodles, and the program automatically erases your picture in between each chapter (assuming that you're done). In the Value Pack bundle (offered by Scholastic), the software is accompanied by a video called Drawing Faces, Cartooning and Caricatures.
