Disney’s Winnie The Pooh Preschool Plus
© 2001 Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media
This is the original Winnie the Pooh Preschool plus a new activity that exposes kids to French and Spanish. The 100-Acre Wood gang is getting ready for Eeyore's birthday party. Though the narration is sometimes too much, the activities are nicely integrated into the story line. Rabbit, for instance, can't come to the party unless all of his vegetable jars are labeled. Kids help him by matching number labels to the number of objects in each jar. To free Piglet up to make the birthday cake, children color pictures by matching the colors of a model. The added activity is the weakest of the bunch. Pooh speaks into a hole in a tree and his echo returns in a foreign language. While good in theory, children have very little control of the words chosen due to uninterruptible narration and limited choices. All things considered, however, the breadth and depth of the CD is strong, and the content is well-suited to preschoolers.
