Zoboomafoo: Leapin' Lemurs!
© 2001 Encore Software
Zoboomafoo, the little lemur, is getting ready for a party, and he must gather enough beans and fruit for his bash. Kids guide the monkey through the forest, up trees, along paths and across bridges in search of the fruits and veggies. Encounters with obstacles like streams and greedy monkeys force the lemur to lose some of the collected food. The collection process isn't easy. In fact, players will have to enlist the help of an elephant baby, climbing on its back to get to high places. There are also LOTS of items to collect; 50 in all, a little too many for the younger kids. The game play is a bit repetitive, and the graphics are not quite as good as games like Spyro and 102 Dalmatians. On the upside, however, the instructions are read aloud, the theme is fun and there is no violence whatsoever.
