TimeLiner 5.0
© 2001 Tom Snyder Productions
Time takes on an entirely new meaning for students when they can "see" it, and this program offers the perfect means. With younger kids, you can begin to use this timeline maker by typing in a relevant date, for instance, a student's birthday. Then, type in dates for other significant events... getting a pet dog, moving, starting kindergarten. Next, put in a few historical dates, such as the Pilgrim's landing at Plymouth Rock, or the sinking of the Titanic, and ask the computer to generate a timeline. Suddenly "the olden days" start to fall into perspective. This is a very useful program for all age groups. It's easy to use, so kids and teachers alike can enter events and see them quickly generated into one of five different timeline styles, including banner and slideshow format. The 5.0 edition offers 400 historical photos to be used in the various timelines, plus the ability to import images, sounds or movies directly from the Internet. Note: See Timeliner XE.
