This is a web site designed to deliver math, science and reading content to students. It's fun, easy to use, and a great example of what Macromedia Flash can do— but lacking in terms of real substance or depth as of February 2001. Most noteworthy is the way that it combines all the essential elements for web delivered content: lessons/lesson plans, student records, and unique access for both parents and teachers. From the main screen, you first sign in as a student, teacher or parent. After typing in your password (as a student), you get personalized lessons and a dose of today's news from USA Today (external cul de sac links). Most noteworthy on the site are the quality streaming cartoons that are used to reinforce school content, although the narration seems amateurish. News headlines are provided by USA Today, and Fraboom content can also be found on The Learning Network. Pricing is $4/student/year, for a minimum of 25 students.
