This is best described as an Internet service for schools, students and parents that is based on content and services from the Family Education Network. This is part of the Pearson publishing group. The revenue source is from both subscriptions and ads. The site is organized into channels to serve each category of visitor, and includes a prominent e-commerce area called the K-12 Learning Store. The Teacher Channel includes "Teacher Vision", a channel for teachers with lesson plans, homework help, e-commerce, and chat rooms. The Student Channel includes Factmonster.com, a new reference area for students with content from an Almanac. Seminars are offered for teachers on how to integrate technology (via the Learning Network, of course) in their classroom.
