Jesus: Gospels & Paintings
© 1996 Montparnasse Multimedia
The rich imagery of this CD-ROM biography is very compelling. Teens and adults interested in exploring the life and times of Jesus Christ will find much to like about the program, which uses artist's renderings and great masterpieces to illustrate events and concepts. Content is divided into twelve great scenes in Jesus' life, from his birth to his crucifixion. Images are shown in narrated slideshow format, accompanied by additional commentary and text. Useful study features abound. In one section of the program you can view side by side comparisons of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John's version of the same event. To further explore the ideas and happenings of the times, great paintings of Titan, Rembrandt, Gaugin and others are displayed and interpreted. Navigation is the program's biggest downfall, making it easy to become sidetracked or lost.
