Based on The Discovery Channel's TV special, this program traces the history of dinosaurs from their first appearance on Earth, to their demise. Features include a panoramic dinosaur timeline, a fossil hunt activity, a dinosaur fact file and more. Kids can assemble a dinosaur skeleton, create a food web and explore interactive prehistoric landscapes. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with this CD's performance. Even on our best computers, which far exceed the minimum specs, transitions were unusually slow and the videos were choppy. Adding insult to injury, kid testers unanimously felt that there wasn't enough to do. Installation was lengthy, too. Note that there is a Pixter Multimedia cartridge based on the same footage.
