This robotic dog is designed to listen and responds to his owner's voice. He can walk, pant, scratch for fleas, speak, beg, stand on his head, and has eyes that move. Testers noted that while he is well constructed (surviving a good amount of household torture) he used too many batteries, and was not responsive. The voice command concept is a good one, but too hard to implement. The dog doesn't respond well, which frustrates children. Requires 3 "D" and one 9-volt battery for the puppy, and 2 "AA" batteries for the headset. Note that Fisher-Price no longer creates this toy. Many of the components, such as the eyes and the movement system, have been incorporated into Kasey the Kinderbot.
