Teachers create their own quizzes at www.Quia.com (pronounced key-uh; short for Quintessential Instructional Archive). In return, the company registers users in order to track them with cookies, which translates to advertising sales. The site's content includes a broad range of activities and Java-based quizzes, covering 40 subject areas and varying greatly in quality. There are also templates for creating twelve different types of online games such as flashcards, matching, concentration, word search, hangman and others.
