Discover More Series Deluxe Pack

The five CDs that come in this bundle are inexpensive, but finding value in the set isn't easy. Each program in the series is pretty much the same. A "magical" elevator takes children to the first set of passages, each one read aloud as an unrelated item in the scene is selected. In Discover More History, for instance, clicking on a stairway first shows a ghost, and then text about the subject matter is read aloud. Clicking on a second object triggers another blurb, and so on. After all of the text has been displayed, one or two quiz questions test children's comprehension. If they answer correctly it's off to another "floor" of information. So what's wrong with the set? The biggest problem is that the facts are doled out in no apparent order, resulting in a disorganized and disjointed presentation. Incredibly frustrating is the fact that if children don't respond to the quiz questions quickly enough, the elevator may suddenly close up, forcing them to start all over again! Programs in the set are Discover More History, Discover More English, Discover More Geography, Discover More Science and Discover More Math.
