This is a robotics building system, similar to LEGO Mindstorms. There are three CyberK'NEX sets to choose from. The Hyper Wheels ($50), Cybots ($80) and Ultra sets ($130) come complete with everything you need to build, bring to life and control Cyber vehicles, creatures and robots. Special Cyber motors, sensors, lights, battery packs, ports, processors and control pads give you almost all you need. The real magic is in the Cyber Keys. The Cyber Keys contain the personality and behavior of your model. Insert one into the Cyber Port of your built model, and witness your creation moving, speaking, "seeing", reacting and waiting for your commands. The Ultra set also includes a special Cyber Controller, a Programming Port and a Programmable Cyber Key. You can record special routines of your own and even download new Cyber personalities from the web site. No PC is required unless downloading content from the web. While the set is fun and relatively affordable, the programming opportunities provided aren't nearly as rich as those afforded by LEGO Mindstorms.
