Happy Birthday, Maisy!

The colors are bright and bold, and the Maisy characters are appealing, but there just isn't enough to do in this brief variety pack of games. Children help Maisy celebrate her birthday by following outlines to assemble cards, guiding characters to pin the tail on the donkey, playing follow the leader and looking for hidden instruments. The activities aren't bad, but there's quite a bit of waiting required (tough for preschoolers), and even with all the pleasant but excessive instruction, it isn't always clear what to do. Five and six-year-old kids quickly zipped through the games, telling us that they liked them but probably wouldn't buy the CD, unless more activities were included. Levels would have helped, as would more open-ended options.
