Winning this issue's "What Will They Think of Next?" award, this site lets parents manage an online shopping environment where kids can buy merchandise and donate money to charity. Here's how it works. After registering, parents deposit money (via credit card) in their child's ICanBuy account. Or, they can set up an automatic allowance that will be deducted from a credit card on a regular basis. Next, parents set parameters that manage where a child can shop and how much can be spent. Then, children are ready to shop, create wish lists, save and even donate money to selected charities. Given the nature of the site, it's no surprise that it's very ad-driven and commercial in appearance. We guess Saturday morning jaunts to the penny-candy store are a bit outdated!
