Verbos en AR- Verbs Ending with AR

Once you get past the initial panicky feeling that comes from total immersion in a foreign language, you’ll find this to be a nifty little program perfect for learning 26 common Spanish verbs. The instruction begins with an interactive language sequence where kids click and drag pictures to related scenes, eventually unfolding into a vignette about a visit to a café, for instance. Next there are eight practice activities that let kids work on pronunciation, spelling, oral understanding and verb conjugation. Once you figure out the basics of using the program, you’ll find the exercises easy to do and useful— we picked up new Spanish vocabulary in minutes. The multimedia features are limited, but the activities are varied and effective. Record keeping is weak— only time spent at each activity is tracked. Units include At the Cafeteria, At the Bakery, The Concert, They Study Spanish and At Home. A sister program, La Ropa, teaches the Spanish words for articles of clothing. Note that this program is one of a complete series that teaches Spanish, with four sets of three CDs covering other aspects of grammar as well as pronunciation, conversation and other concepts.
