This nicely designed series of 41 music tutorials comes on four CDs (each sold for $30 or together for about $110) and nicely covers the generic music curriculum. Each disk is easy to install and use and would be ideal for a piano teacher or for a family that can't afford a piano teacher. All you need is a Mac or Windows computer (no MIDI keyboard is required). After inserting a CD, a child enters her name to begin from scratch, or selects her name from the list to jump to a previous spot in the program. The primary strength of the software is in the design of the exercises that start with left and right hand placement and continue through to chord progressions.
