This package consists of four useful CDs that help kids bone up on 12 subjects including pre-algebra, algebra, geography, physical science, life science, earth science, vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, US History, World History and Ancient Civilizations. Students can either study on their own or take a lengthy pretest, the results of which are used to create a personalized study plan. An achievement test assesses children's progress after the lessons are complete. There are several ways to study. First, kids can go through the text-based lessons. Then they can answer multiple choice questions covering lesson content. A much more interesting way to practice skills is to access the seven older Davidson programs which are also housed on the four CDs. These are Math Blaster Pre-Algebra, Math Blaster Algebra, Grammar Games, Ultimate Word Attack, Ultimate Speed Reader, Say it in Spanish and The Multimedia Workshop. All of these programs are dated, but still offer solid skill practice. In general, this is a nice set of educational software programs at an affordable price.
