Purepaint Kids

Dip your finger, stylus or Apple Pencil into the five color blobs to smear realistic-feeling paint onto a light gray canvas. The finger painting simplicity is diminished by the lack of an undo feature plus an options menu that is hard to understand. Some might see a lack of an undo feature to be a strength, because it mimics real paper. Noteworthy features include realistic paint simulation features, especially the way you can mix colors using "3D Volumetric Paint" and the way the paint volume is is conserved, so the paint already on the canvas can be displaced by sweeping the brush across it. Another rare feature is called "Real-Time HDR Lighting." This changes the lighting as you rotate your mobile device. The bottom line? While this app has some powerful features it may confuse some kids, and adults as they try to make them work. The first version was released on July 31, 2018 for iOS.
