Last year the beloved Animal Crossing franchise migrated into the app stores, bringing the same high quality hunt and gather play pattern. So you can hunt, trade and build your own custom avatar and world. Unfortunately this mobile version also contains state-of-the-art manipulation strategies specifically designed to harvest real dollars and Euros from children. Items to collect and trade include tents, hammocks, fish, fireplaces, a stuffed-animal sofa, with themed items from Fishing Tourneys and Garden Events that happen throughout the year. Content includes 1,000 pieces of furniture and 300 pieces of clothing and accessories, and 100 animals. This game is free to start, with insidious in-app purchases. Internet connectivity is required to play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. It's strange and sad that Nintendo products tend to be extremely ethical on Nintendo hardware -- they tend to charge a lot, and deliver a lot. But when they are created for non-Nintendo platforms, these ethics disappear, at least in the case of this game. The more time you spend fishing, building, collecting and trading, the more real money you have to spend. LIke a slot machine, this app rewards you intermittently. Items cost from $0.99 - $79.99 per item
