Explore a virtual 3D space, controlling your avatar, and talk (with voice) with other people/avatars. That's what you can do in VR Chat, which has a misleading name, because it works in either VR or non-VR mode, In other words, a VR headset is not required. Most of the content in the world is user generated because it is based in Unity. This lets you build your own avatars or worlds and upload them to share with others. First launch date: 2015. There are versions for Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, SteamVR, Viveport. Supports cross-play between Quest, PC Desktop and PC VR. Note that because this is a live-chat system, you'll encounter some rude behavior that flies under the "ban" system. In addition, the navigation system can be hard to learn.
