Turn your phone or tablet into a multistep scavenger hunt, where the clues are delivered by way of prerecorded audio clues that you record for your child on your phone or tablet. The app is uses paper color strips that you need to print, cut and color, unless you have a color printer. Each strip has a sequence of four colors that acts like a combination lock. If you find one, say under a pillow, you have to tap the color sequence in order to unlock the verbal recorded clue. The UI (User Interface) on this app could be improved. Setting up the app a hunt requires making a profile for your child and filling out a form, recording each step. There are some templates with pre-made generic questions that you can modify; or you can start from scratch to create a custom hunt. This takes a bit of work and creativity which is the genius of this app. Treasure hunts can be uploaded to an online database, where other users can download and use those hunts themselves. Need to know: be prepared from a lot of prep and setup before. (Thanks to Tamera at the Erikson TEC center for recommending this app).
