1/23/2019 New Juice activity takes you to an outer space juice bar. Ready for all-you-can-eat Sago Mini? This is the subscription-based hub for all 20+ Sago Mini apps (as of May 2017). Three apps – Friends, Forest Flyer and Babies Dress Up come free with download... the rest require the paid subscription. Once the content is downloaded, they'll work without WiFi or Internet access. One subscription can be used across multiple devices, and members are promised first access to the new releases. Sago promises that there is no commitments -- you can cancel anytime, without fees, and there are no third-party advertising or hidden purchases for members. But the app does auto-renew, and you are encouraged to subscribe in order to access the free activities. Subscriptions cost is $4.49 USD / month or $30 per year. Need to know: about 1/3 of the ratings on iTunes are low, because this the app delivers "an experience they don't expect from a company they've grown to trust." The primary complaint is that they are asked to pay for content they already have purchased as independent apps. Also, the app starts with an age-gate and strong-arms you into a subscription that auto-renews by default (there is no "opt-in"). We think you should be able to manually add the apps you already own. And we're sad to see an experience of any type that is marketed to young children that contains padlocked content and direct links to teasers.
