This open-ended sandbox is designed to be a child's first world building experience. While the operation fail-safe, a lot of the creativity happens on autopilot, making this more of a busy-box type of experience. Older preschoolers, who might want more control over the resulting items, might not like how much stuff just happens. To make a town, you drag and drop blocks into the ocean, which starts an island. Adding bricks, grass, roads, farmland or sand causes additional land areas to spring up, along with corresponding set of items that appear at random. The good news is that anything you touch responds, making this a very "rubbery" app. It's important to look at this app from a developmental point of view. Older children might make a road and want to drive on it, but that's not the point of this app. It's more like a busy box. Need to know. You can't turn off the background music. Make sure to hunt until you find the rocket ship.
