It's been two years since the first Splatoon, and this sequel looks and plays a lot like the first release. It's still a fast moving 4 vs. 4 action shooter where you try to out-paint your opponents. What's new? You can either play in local multiplayer mode, or now compete online. There are also new weapons and more game modes that leverage the power of the Switch Joy-Con controllers. An upcoming smart-phone application for the Nintendo Switch system will enhance matchmaking and allow for voice chat options. Summer 2017.
