Billed as "the next generation social studies curricula for grades 6-12" this curriculum uses Google Expeditions to deliver curriculum-friendly virtual field trips (Google Cardboard googles, optional) to places like Washington DC or The Oregon Trail. New content and partnerships come from History, Maps.com, and Google. Both digital and print versions of HMH Social Studies will be available for the 2017-18 school year. Other features include offline digital delivery, allowing students to access their curriculum even if they away from wi-fi. HMH Social Studies is available in a variety of packages offering various blends of print and digital resources to fit a school district's needs. One of the most common packages is the Hybrid Student Resource Package, which includes print materials and a 6-year digital license. This package ranges in price depending on grade and/or unit of study (e.g. US History, Geography, Economics), as well as how many packages are required. The curriculum will be available for the 2017-18 school year. Visit http://www.hmhco.com/shop/education-curriculum/social-studies/hmh-social-studies for more information.
