The PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 Pro) is a $400 4K resolution upgrade to the PS4, designed to work especially well with the Playstation VR system. You'll be able to play every PS4 game on both PS4 Pro and the standard PS4, which was recently released in a slimmer and lighter model for $300. It's like the same car, with a bigger engine. Launch games include Call of Duty, Ratchet & Clank, The Last of Us Remastered, and UNCHARTED 4: A Thief's End. For 4K video content, both Netflix and YouTube will be integrated into the system. PS4 Pro is also compatible with HDR imaging technology PlayStation VR is compatible with both systems. PS4 Pro and the standard PS4 will also share the same interface and online community. Technical details (Source: Sony) include a CPU: x86-64 AMD "Jaguar" with 8 cores; a GPU with 4.20 TFLOPS, AMD Radeon based graphics engine. The system will have 8 GB of memory, with 1 TB of storage, plus a read only DVD drive and USB ports. Networking happens both through Wi-Fi and a built in ethernet port. You plug into your monitor with a standard HDMI cable.
