Make your own Very Hungry Caterpillar with this well designed, collage-making and drawing app. At the core of this app are 40 sheets of virtual colored tissue paper designed by children's literature legend, Eric Carle (author of such classics as Brown Bear and The Very Hungry Caterpillar). Once you've picked a pattern, you can carve out bits of paper with your fingertip, for mixing, matching or layering. An additional set of pen and pencil tools help you color and paint, for finer details, or for free drawing. Our testers needed help finding the trash can, and some were also frustrated when they tried to connect the layers of paper... both minor issues. Once you make a project, it's not possible to re-open it for editing. But you can see it as a graphic file. If you're lucky enough to have an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil, this app really shines. Work can be saved in a personal gallery or exported to your photo gallery or social media.
