HangArt: Play Hangman, Draw Pictures, Tell Stories
© 2016 Literary Safari Inc.
Great for reading skill reinforcement, in or out of the classroom, HangArt has three modes—Play Hangman, Word Gallery, and Story Studio. In Play Hangman, you play one or two-player visual hangman using K-3 sight words that are fed to you based on their grade level. After you guess the word, you trace each letter to write the word (using the Castledown font, a sans-serif, dyslexic-friendly font shaped similarly to the way kids naturally write and created specifically for use by elementary students). In Word Gallery, you watch playbacks of the words you have solved and then draw, save, and playback your own drawings. In Story Studio you create and record your own playable picture stories using randomly generated images and words from your Word Gallery. The app keeps records for parents and teachers and asks children to assess the challenge level of each word -- an innovative feature.
