If you can overlook some clunky interactive features, this general purpose phonics app contains some useful content, and a great, no-gimmick price ($free). You start by touching an alphabet block to see a related animated routine. For W, you see a spider web, then a wolf, and then you see the word "wolf" spelled out. Next you see a "walk" routine, and some silly wigs. Each activity nicely illustrates the letter sound, and uses it in context. So this is more than just an alphabet book app. Other content includes an alphabet song features an animated singing gopher, and sign language versions of the alphabet song. The animation is choppy and not very responsive. But the content is good quality, and carefully designed... making this a very classroom friendly app.
